John Bunyan Museum
ABOUT THE MUSEUM
Our museum takes you on a journey through the remarkable life of Bedford’s most famous son, John Bunyan. His story is larger than life and over 300 years since his death, his legacy still inspires. Find out why here.
Your visit can be intimate and absorbing, or interactive and sociable – or indeed both!
We offer a self-led trail for families, and our Museum Stewards offer a warm welcome and will happily answer questions and share their knowledge
The museum takes you through a variety of displays. These include recreations of key scenes from Bunyan’s life, audio, and hands-on interactives. Our collections include evocative items that belonged to, or were used by Bunyan in the 17th century.
School Holiday Activites
The museum offers a range of craft events for families during school holidays.
Parking
As the museum is in the centre of town, parking is available in Lurke Street Car Park, where you can access one of the 14 disabled parking bays. Or park for FREE at Aspects and enjoy the embankment on your way to the Museum.
