We have a lovely purpose built accessible building with a hallway, cloakroom, large main play room, kitchen, office , toilets and large outside enclosed area . All staff are fully qualified including first aid training and safeguarding training , the setting believes that parents are a child’s first educator and that a strong parent partnership is essential for a happy  thriving child to develop the skills needed to move on to the next steps in their early education .

The rates per hour are £5.50 for a three and four year old and £7.50 per hour for a two year old . these fee's are in line with the funding we receive from the government for Funded working parents hours .

We have a wide range of experience within the areas of additional needs and Two staff members are trained Special Educational needs coordinators who work together to give all children and families with additional needs to help and support they need and may require for the best start in their early education and next steps.. Training : Two staff members have completed the full two day course from the borough in SENDCO training Two staff members have completed Autism training and awareness training Two staff members have completed training on understanding additional needs in the early years All staff members have training on speech and language and we have a private speech therapist that works in the setting every Tuesday to provide therapy for any of the children that require extra input in the required area for their speech and language development. One staff Member has training in learning disabilities and Autism One member of staff has completed training in the Neurodiversity and young children Two staff members have extensive experience in writing Individual education plans The Manager has extensive experience in applying and writing EHCP applications The setting works with professionals from the children's development centre The Children's centre The SEND team within the borough and within the central Bedfordshire team Educational Phycologists Early Years specialist Nursery Nurses Speech and language therapy The setting offer help and advice for parents and families on joining Autism Bedford Little Marlins swimming Triple P courses for development in families around stragies SEND play and stay sessions in the local areas All staff use and know basic British sign language signs for - Good morning, Good afternoon, welcome, Mum, Dad, Family, sorry, ill, sad, happy, angry, song, sounds, pig, duck, sheep, dog and more.

The applications for the school year 2026-2027 will open in September 2024 and applications forms can be requested the first week in September by emailing the setting on stewartbypreschool@outlook.com or coming in person to the setting and requesting a paper form.
