Bedford Day Services at Kempston Centre
Main purpose
Bedford Day Services at the Kempston Centre provide a range of day opportunities to people who have learning disabilities and complex needs that require supervised staff support. The Kempston Centre can accommodate the needs of people with multiple disabilities and have specialist personal care facilities on site, with qualified staff in areas such as Autism, Epilepsy Management, Diabetes Monitoring and PEG feeding and medication All staff work in a Person Centred way. This enables individuals to have an informed choice on the activities that they participate in during the day, and ensures that activities and care support is tailored to the individual needs and is delivered in a way that is dignified, purposeful and meaningful. Kempston Centre is part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team working with other agencies for example: Physio Therapy Team, Sensory Team, Speech and Language Therapy and any other health professionals that are required.
