Habitat is a small, friendly PreSchool based in Kempston, Bedfordshire. We offer places to children aged 2 years and over, all children including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities are admitted into the PreSchool under the Admissions Policy.  At Habitat, we aim to prepare your child for school and life in general, in a safe and friendly environment. All children are welcome and we believe that all children should have equal opportunities and access to as many resources as we can provide.  We encourage the development and education of your child in various areas to increase their confidence, in a parent-involving, community-based PreSchool.  Habitat operates a 'key person' system, which offers support to the children ensuring each child receives the challenges needed to achieve his/her own personal goals.  At Habitat we are lucky enough to have 3 SEND Coordinators who work with parents and professional agencies when the child's needs cannot be met solely by the PreSchool alone.  The Coordinators work closely together to assess the child's individual needs informing all staff of the child's requirements, ensuring effective support is provided.  Habitat will use observations, Individual Care Plans for identifying, assessing and responding to children with special educational needs, using a step-by-step approach through the various levels of intervention.
