ALTR X Summer Holiday Club
ALTR X is aimed at pupils with additional needs age 11 to 19, who may be too anxious to access mainstream holiday clubs, need a greater level of understanding in relation to their needs and would benefit from an environment that is SEND aware and friendly.
ALTR X is a fun and exciting opportunity for young people to try new activities and engage with like-minded peers, in a in a low demand, safe space supported by specialist staff, who are adept in modifying tasks to make them accessible and to reduce anxiety.
Each session will include a range of activities that are carefully planned to meet the interests of the young people. The schedule of activities will vary throughout the day and the young people can select what they would like to engage with or simply choose to chill out on a sofa with their favourite book!
Activities might include:
- Arts and crafts
- Games and gaming
- Music and drama
- Film making and photography
- Problem solving
- Sports
- Cooking and picnics

- Notes
We are excited to welcome you to our new college site (just across the road from our current setting), where we plan to create a bespoke SEND and sensory friendly environment. Our students will already be familiar with this setting prior to the summer, but for young people who don’t attend the college, we can arrange a transition visit, if required. Every effort will be made to ensure that the activities on offer meet the needs of the young people taking part.
